Position Location: Browns Summit, North Carolina - Greensboro Browns Summit Plant
We’re looking for team-players who know how to take charge of business-related challenges and keep us running smoothly. As a Microbiologist at the P&G Greensboro Brown Summit site, you are responsible to ensure that all assigned testing is completed in a cGMP compliant manner per the required timing. You are also responsible for ensuring the Micro Lab is maintained per the cGMP’s and meets all applicable global and national laws and regulations.
Responsibilities Include:
Completing essential tasks, including but not limited to the following:
- Microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products.
- Media Preparation
- Glassware Washing
- General Housekeeping and Disinfection of Lab Area
- Finishing all maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment
- Handling Biohazards
- Light travel may be required (less than 5%)

We believe in order to be able to perform on the job, you will need to meet the following physical requirements:
- Be comfortable working in a variety of computer systems for data entry.
- Use basic microbiological equipment
- Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping
- Climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms
- Twist, turn and bend
- Stand on concrete floors for an extended period
Our Work Schedule: The Greensboro Procter & Gamble Plant operates 7-days per week. The Micro Lab works a 10-hour schedule, from 6:30am - 5:00pm.
Technicians work any day of the week, including weekends. Work on weekends may be as overtime or as part of the Technician's normal schedule. Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule.
Job Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in the Life Science field with 2+ years of work experience in Microbiology.
- Four-year degree in microbiology or micro related discipline preferred.
- Knowledge of cGMP’s as it relates to Microbiology.
- USP testing experience preferred.
- Be willing to work weekends, holidays and overtime, as business needs require.
Starting Pay: $26.69 per hour
Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
