Job Title: MS&P Operations Specialist
The MS&P Operations Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring superior planning, coordination, and execution of market strategies. This role requires expertise in data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and administrative management to support the Market Strategy & Planning team. The candidate must possess strong analytical skills, be proficient in data tools, and effectively coordinate with multiple teams to drive business success. Candidates must have a graduate degree (preferably in management) and 1-4 years of experience in data collation and analysis. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is a must. Experience with Nielsen Answers and Trade/Retail marketing is preferred.
YOUR TEAM You will report directly to the Category Team Lead and work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and external vendors, to ensure seamless execution of business strategies.
HOW SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Data-Driven Strategy Execution: Efficiently extract, analyze, and present sales and distribution reports to guide planning decisions.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive flawless execution of pricing, product launches, and marketing initiatives.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain dashboards, master data files, and reports to ensure smooth category team operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Extract, consolidate, and format multiple sales and distribution reports from various sources.
- Maintain dashboards and master data files at channel and geography levels.
- Track initiative progress via geographic and channel-level reports.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with internal teams on product pricing changes and new product launches, ensuring clear communication to stakeholders.
- Work with the corporate assistant to create monthly channel rate-cards.
- Support the software team in user testing and validate the efficacy of monthly channel plans.
- Coordinate with the design agency to develop and deliver monthly sales materials, POSMs, and product booklets.
- Monitor the creation and delivery of POSMs across 29 states.
- Partner with market planners to ensure stock sufficiency at distributor locations.
- Consolidate national execution catalogs for key initiatives in collaboration with all sites.
- Manage product sample coordination for MOT as needed.
- Compile and publish sales fundamentals reports.
- Administrative Expertise:
- Manage expense reports for the entire Category Team.
- Organize and set up meetings within the Category Team.
- Handle travel bookings for Category Team members.
- Support pack-shot management (as determined based on capacity).
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Analytical Proficiency: Strong data collation and analysis skills, with a keen eye for actionable insights.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Nielsen Answers is a plus.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Ability to work seamlessly with multiple teams and stakeholders to drive execution.
- Organizational & Administrative Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, reports, and schedules with attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of trade and retail marketing dynamics.
PREREQUISITES
- Education: Graduate degree (preferably in management).
- Experience: 1-4 years in data collation, analysis, and trade/retail marketing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working with Nielsen Answers and trade/retail marketing.
