We’re a build from within company, meaning we’re looking for those interested in building a career, not just a job with us.

As a Facilities engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • The overall aim of the facilities engineer is to ensure that routine facility utility processes are carried out in the safest, most time-efficient and cost-effective way possible. Facilities Engineers achieve this through review and modification of existing processes, as well as design and implementation of new procedures or improvements.

  • The Facilities Engineer will have direct responsibility for a range of facility infrastructure needs – such as Heating, Ventilation and AC, electrical engineering, mechanical plant, energy, maintenance, and civil engineering.

  • Safety is a priority at P&G. You will be responsible for your personal safety as well as assisting where you can with the safety of other team members and contractors. This includes, ensuring all safety rules and safe work procedures are followed, reporting near misses, and maintaining housekeeping.

  • As well as the day-to-day running of the facility, the Facilities Engineer will have budgetary responsibilities and duties around optimizing operational efficiency. The Facilities engineer will also be involved in the development of new facilities, planning and implementing the facility infrastructure and utility systems.

This is day-based role, and you will be expected to work 40 hours per week.

What we offer you:

  • Competitive Salary: The starting salary for this is competitive. Every P&G employee’s salary is reviewed annually and therefore there is ample opportunity for future salary increases.

  • Generous Pension: The Company will contribute double the amount you contribute towards your pension savings, up to a maximum company contribution of 14% of your pensionable pay.

  • Annual Leave: You will start with 25 days' annual leave entitlement (plus bank holidays), increasing with length of service up to 30 days.

  • 1-4-1 Shares: For every share that you purchase, the Company will purchase a share on your behalf. You can contribute up to 2.5% of your salary into the 1-4-1 Share Plan, up to a maximum of £150 a month.

  • Private Medical Insurance: Our Private Medical Insurance Plan, currently delivered by AXA Health, provides eligible employees with access to private medical treatment, if they wish. Eligible employees can request for their partner and / or eligible dependent children to be included on their cover.

  • Great Working Environment: P&G has had operations in West Thurrock since the 1940s and the site is of great importance for the company.
